Pink tomatoes from our orchard (5kg box) | Naranjas del Carmen

2-3 pieces per kilogram. In one 5kg box you'll receive between 10 and 15 tomatoes depending on their size.

Tomatoes grown without pesticides. Organic cow manure and the natural pest control cycle were used in the cultivation process. You get them fresh, just as we pick them and without any preservatives.

We are growing the varieties candido and rozabella. Their fruits are very big, fleshy and pink when ripe. These tomatoes are very easy to slice, are soft to the taste, have very little acidity and offer an surrounding aroma as soon as they they are cut.


The tomato is a climacteric fruit, which means that it continues to ripen after being harvested. When the bottom part turns pink, the tomato is ripe for eating.

We grow our tomatoes outdoors, which together with the temperature variation between day and night are the key to their great flavour. This means that their ripening depends entirely on the weather each year. An approximate calendar is from July to the end of September.

In the early morning of the shipment day we go into our orchard to pick the tomatoes still cool from the night. We harvest those with the perfect maturity level so that they arrive safe and sound. Afterwards, we put them into a box with recycled material, without any plastic. In the afternoon of the same say, our transport partner comes and picks them up. #plasticfree

If you keep them in a fresh and airy place, they can last up to a week in good condition.

When you receive them, consume the ripest ones first. The tomato is a climacteric fruit, which means that it continues to ripen after being harvested. As soon as the tip starts to change to a reddish colour, this indicates that the tomato has already reached its perfect ripening stage from within.
