Organic extra virgin olive oil (free from bisphenol)

IMG_5080

We have attained new bisphenol-free containers for our extra virgin olive oil. The majority of the containers available on the market are coated with a varnish to prevent the olive oil from oxidizing when getting in direct contact with the tin. This coating normally contains a small proportion of bisphenol. Although this proportion is within the limits set by the EU, we were not convinced as it was not in accordance with our philosophy.

Consequently, we began to investigate and found a natural coating, which was a bit more expensive, but free from bisphenol. That’s why we would like to thank one of our presidents (that’s our internal name for customers) for this recommendation.
